Sr. Field Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Baya Systems develops unified fabric IP and software for single-die and multi-die systems. This role provides technical leadership to customers in Tokyo, guiding integration of Baya technologies into customer SoCs and multi-chiplet products.
The position works closely with sales and engineering to understand customer requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver customized solutions that meet product and schedule objectives.
Experience Level
Senior-level - requires 5+ years of field application engineering or customer-facing technical experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include supporting customers through product development and deployment.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Assist in the design and implementation of customized solutions to meet customer-specific requirements.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training for customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate debug and bring-up activities, and drive timely resolution.
- Collaborate closely with sales and engineering to translate customer needs into product or integration plans.
- Monitor industry trends and advise customers on development strategies and best practices.
- Travel to customer sites and industry events as required.
Requirements
Core skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
- 5+ years in a field application engineering or customer-facing technical role.
- Experience designing or supporting complex SoC projects from architecture definition to tape-out on advanced process nodes.
- Practical experience addressing SoC implementation challenges, debug, and system bring-up.
- Knowledge of reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) for enterprise/infrastructure markets is a plus.
- Understanding of functional safety standards and certification processes is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites and events.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is specified.
