Senior Engineer, Product Software

Role Summary

The Product Software team connects real machine learning models to Tenstorrent’s custom silicon. This role focuses on making state-of-the-art ML models run fast and accurately on our stack and delivering production-ready software that customers can use out of the box.

The position is hybrid and based in Belgrade, Serbia, and involves performance tuning, cross-layer debugging, and collaboration with hardware and systems teams.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include performance engineering, validation, and delivery of ML software across the stack.

• Optimize and implement ML models for Tenstorrent’s many-core processors and multi-chip systems.
• Profile, tune, and improve performance from model to kernel across software layers.
• Validate numerical accuracy and stability of ML workloads on the target architecture.
• Debug and improve runtime and tooling components to achieve production readiness.
• Collaborate with compiler, hardware, QA, and customer teams to integrate and ship solutions.
• Produce clean, maintainable code and documentation for internal and external users.

Must-have

• Experience accelerating compute- and memory-bandwidth-intensive ML workloads on parallel processor architectures.
• Practical skills in performance tuning and debugging across software layers (model, runtime, kernel).
• Proficiency in Python and C++, or demonstrable experience using one and willingness to develop the other.
• Experience working on production-quality software: testing, validation, and delivering usable releases.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology; employment may be contingent on citizenship/permanent residency or obtaining a required export license.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with many-core and multi-chip system software stacks.
• Familiarity with Tenstorrent components (for example: tt-metal, tt-nn, tt-forge, tt-llk) or similar ML runtime/tooling.
• Background in compiler, runtime, or kernel development for AI accelerators.
