SR. ENGINEER - PD SG regE
Micron TechnologyJob Title
Senior Process Development Engineer (regE) - Singapore
Role Summary
Lead development and transfer of regE (wafer edge) process modules for 3D NAND memory nodes, focusing on process characterization, margin improvement, and manufacturability for high-volume production.
Work across Micron sites and with external suppliers to design experiments, implement process control and monitoring, and drive multi-functional projects that improve yield, cost, and productivity.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Ph.D. preferred; candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's and a minimum of 3 years hands-on regE process development experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
Accountabilities include technical ownership of regE process development and transfer, experimentation, and cross-functional leadership.
- Own regE process module development, characterization, and advanced development for 3D NAND nodes.
- Develop regE processes with internal PD teams and vendors to meet integration requirements for next-generation 3D NAND.
- Transfer validated regE processes to high-volume manufacturing and lead continuous manufacturability improvements.
- Investigate and resolve wafer edge issues (bevel defects, uniformity), collaborating with Fab10N and suppliers on tooling and evaluations.
- Design and manage experiments (DoE) to widen process margins and validate next-node manufacturability.
- Implement process monitoring and control methodologies and incorporate manufacturing best practices early in development.
- Lead complex, multi-functional projects; coordinate cross-site, supplier, and fab teams in quality, yield, and productivity initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance to management, contribute to innovation through technical papers and patents, and enforce IP protection policies.
- Use Micron-approved AI tools responsibly to improve productivity in tasks such as documentation, experiment planning, data summarization, and troubleshooting support.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and behaviors for this role.
- Demonstrated familiarity with regE process development and yield improvement methods.
- Understanding of wafer-edge integration, structural impacts, and related constraints.
- Knowledge of memory processing flows, specifically planar and vertical (3D) NAND processing.
- Working knowledge of data analysis systems (e.g., Y3) to analyze experimental results.
- Proficiency with Design of Experiments (DoE) and experiment execution.
- Proven ability to plan and run experiments, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work extended hours when required and adapt to changing program needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for local and global partnerships; strict adherence to IP protection policies.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and supplier engagements on process, yield, and cost improvements.
Education Requirements
Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Physics preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Physics are acceptable when combined with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on regE process development experience.
