Role Summary
The Sr Engineer for SRAM Bit Cell Enablement will support technology teams in the development and verification of SRAM bit cell designs. In collaboration with global teams, this role focuses on layout, test structure verification, and process design kit enablement for 22 nm and 12 nm technologies.
Experience Level
Mid-level; requires expertise in semiconductor design with a Master's degree in a relevant field.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Layout and verification of bit cell test structures.
- Enablement of bit cells in the process design kit (PDK).
- Layout and verification of bit cell kits.
- Maintenance and improvement of the layout infrastructure for memory bit cells.
- Analysis of incoming designs for memory content.
- Parasitic extraction and high sigma simulations for memory bit cells.
- Defining model targets and electrical specification limits based on simulations.
- Cooperation with internal teams and occasional customer interaction.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in microelectronics, electrical engineering, physics, or related fields.
- Experience with layout and design using Cadence Virtuoso, including DRC and LVS verification.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, shell script, and Python.
- Experience with SPICE simulation.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor process flow and technology for highly scaled technologies (22 nm and 12 nm).
- Good understanding of MOSFET physics and SRAM functionality.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- Experience with SPICE models and simulations.
- Basic R scripting knowledge.
- High sigma simulation experience.
Education Requirements
Master’s degree in microelectronics, electrical engineering, physics, or related fields required.
