Senior Engineer, Design
Role Summary
The Design Engineer will be an individual contributor on the FLASH Group design team focused on on-chip controller and mixed-signal circuitry for NAND flash devices.
Key activities include architecture and product definition, transistor-level analog/mixed-signal design, RTL and firmware work for controller functions, and full-chip Verilog validation and integration.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and integration across digital, analog and firmware domains:
- Develop architecture and product definitions for on-chip controllers and mixed-signal blocks.
- Perform detailed transistor-level and mixed-signal circuit design and verification.
- Write and validate RTL (Verilog) for controller hardware and perform full-chip Verilog validation.
- Develop firmware for internal NAND operations and test sequences.
- Create test plans and lead system integration and verification activities.
- Use EDA/Design/Verification CAD tools during design and sign-off.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document design and verification results.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and tools:
- Proficient in Verilog and digital logic fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of analog circuits and mixed-mode design/validation.
- Experience with Design/Verification CAD tools such as ncsim, Design Compiler, Formality, PrimeTime (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with scripting (TCL or PERL).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with non-volatile memory, particularly NAND flash design or validation.
- Experience with transistor-level NAND design and test planning.
- Familiarity or proficiency with AI tools applied to design/verification workflows.
