Sr. Director of Platform Program Management

Role Summary

The Sr. Director leads Platform Planning & Program Management for the Design Technology Platform (DTP), overseeing delivery of PDKs, Foundational IP, Reference Flows, and Platform Validation across multiple sites. This role integrates plans across domain owners, communicates risks, and drives timely, validated platform releases.

This is a hybrid, senior leadership role responsible for execution, cross-functional coordination, team development, and identifying process and quality improvements.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include planning and delivering platform releases, managing risks and interdependencies, and improving delivery quality and efficiency.

  • Own and drive the development timeline for all DTP deliverables (PDKs, Foundational IP, Reference Flows, Platform Validation) to meet release commits and customer needs.
  • Integrate delivery across domain owners; plan intermediate deliverables and manage interdependencies.
  • Communicate program status and risks; create mitigation and long-term improvement plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, workflow, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build, develop, and lead high-performance teams; drive organizational change and leadership development.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders to assure platform completeness and validation.

Requirements

Must-have technical and leadership qualifications and skills.

  • Extensive semiconductor domain knowledge to assess process-feature impacts on PDK collateral and FIP design.
  • Deep understanding of PDK components and their interdependencies.
  • Knowledge of Foundational IP (FIP) requirements and expected deliverables.
  • Familiarity with design flows and how PDKs and FIPs are used in design enablement.
  • Strong program management skills with proven ability to drive execution and meet commitments.
  • Platform planning mindset: proactive cross-area collaboration and delivery orchestration.
  • Ability to foresee delivery risks, define short-term workarounds, and propose long-term fixes.
  • Customer-focused with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven track record building high-performance teams and influencing across organizational levels.
  • Innovative problem-solving orientation, including driving efficiency and quality improvements; familiarity with applying AI solutions to workflows is a plus.
  • Complex problem solving and decisive decision-making with a results orientation.
  • Must consent to and pass an extended background investigation (Position of Trust).

Education Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (specified in the posting).
