Solutions Engineering Architect

Role Summary

Lead architecture and design of scalable, high-performance solutions that integrate Synopsys products to address complex semiconductor and system-level customer problems. Collaborate with product management, R&D, and customer-facing teams to define solution roadmaps and ensure successful delivery.

Part of the Solutions Engineering team; mentor engineers and influence technical direction to accelerate customer adoption and product impact.

Experience Level

Senior — 10+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor, EDA, or related high‑tech industries.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead architecture and system-level design of advanced solutions supporting Synopsys products.
• Collaborate with product management, R&D, and customer teams to define requirements and roadmaps.
• Translate complex customer requirements into scalable, modular architectures and engineering plans.
• Guide and mentor cross‑functional engineering teams through design, deployment, and support.
• Conduct technical due diligence and feasibility studies for new technologies and customer engagements.
• Present solution architectures to executives, customers, and partners, articulating technical and business value.
• Identify and mitigate architectural, quality, reliability, and security risks.
• Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform technology strategy.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 10+ years architecting and engineering complex solutions in semiconductor, EDA, or related industries.
• Expertise in system architecture, SoC design, verification methodologies, and IP integration.
• Strong knowledge of hardware/software co‑design, cloud-enabled workflows, and advanced process technologies.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage large cross‑functional projects.
• Proficiency with industry tools and languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, UVM, RTL design, simulation, emulation, cloud orchestration).
• Strong communication skills for engaging executives, customers, and engineering teams.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with AI/ML, security, and data analytics applied to EDA.
