Role Summary

Lead development of LLVM compiler infrastructure and early software development platforms (including cycle-accurate and functional simulators) used to accelerate Meta's AI workloads on custom accelerators. The role influences ISA design and hardware/software co-design and coordinates cross-functional delivery across software, hardware, and model teams.

Responsibilities

The manager will combine technical leadership with people management to deliver compiler and simulator platforms for AI accelerators.

• Drive development and delivery of LLVM-based compiler toolchains and early software platforms, including simulators and emulators.
• Lead multiple engineering teams and technical leads on large-scale projects across compiler and simulator domains.
• Remain technically engaged and contribute hands-on to evaluate direction and code quality.
• Mentor and develop engineers and engineering leaders, maintaining high engineering craft standards.
• Form trusted cross-functional partnerships with hardware and model teams; shape strategy and roadmaps.
• Promote and drive adoption of AI tools to improve engineering workflows and delivery capacity.
