Software Engineer, System Validation - EDA Infrastructure
Role Summary
Responsible for leading architecture, design and implementation of EDA clusters and scaling next-generation architecture into EDA infrastructure. Work spans hardware, software, deployment, workload orchestration and tuning across cloud and on-prem environments.
Collaborate with engineering teams across NVIDIA to ensure new product introductions integrate from silicon through workloads. Principal-level responsibility available for qualified candidates.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 12+ years of overall experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include planning and delivering new product introductions (NPIs) at scale, designing hybrid cloud/on-prem deployments, and driving integration across teams.
- Lead technical activities for NPIs with a focus on hybrid cloud and on-prem deployments.
- Plan and document infrastructure workflows, hardware and software release processes, and workload orchestration.
- Define architecture specifications and translate requirements into vision, architecture and roadmap.
- Provide solutions for complex system problems and drive reliable implementation.
- Work cross-functionally to integrate product architectures from hardware through application workloads.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills.
- 12+ years of relevant industry experience delivering complex infrastructure or platform projects.
- Proven record of delivering cloud infrastructure or cloud application services at scale.
- Experience with at-scale infrastructure, DevOps/SRE practices, or Platform Engineering.
- System-level experience spanning both hardware and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mentality, and clear communication abilities across global teams.
Nice-to-have.
- Experience developing ML/AI infrastructure or bare-metal-as-a-service (BMaaS) systems.
- Experience with multi-cloud infrastructure services and large-scale distributed systems.
- Background in workload tuning and performance optimization for complex systems.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (for example physics or mathematics) or equivalent practical experience.
