Software Engineer, NVLink

Role Summary

Join the InfiniBand Switch and NVLink firmware verification team working on next‑generation networking products. The role focuses on firmware verification and development for NVIDIA Switch and GPU networking features in pre‑ and post‑silicon environments.

Experience Level

Entry-level - 2+ years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

The engineer will develop verification solutions, implement features, and collaborate across architecture and software teams to deliver networking firmware.

  • Develop and execute firmware verification using C++ and Python within an Agile workflow.
  • Design and implement new features in NVIDIA Switch and GPU networking stacks.
  • Create and maintain verification processes aligned with quality and schedule requirements.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate team activities and project execution.
  • Work across pre‑silicon and post‑silicon validation environments.
  • Debug system-level interactions among hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Collaborate with architecture and software teams during the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications and core skills required for the role.

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in software or firmware engineering.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python.
  • Experience with embedded software development.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of network protocols.
  • Familiarity with CI tools and workflows (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Background in Linux internals.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
