Role Summary

Senior software engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows desktop applications and system-level software for semiconductor equipment. Works with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to integrate software with hardware, optimize performance, and support product validation.

Primary focus areas include C++ and C# desktop application development, multithreaded/concurrent system design, hardware interfacing, and reliability in mission-critical environments.

Experience Level

Senior-level: typically 7–10 years of professional software development experience (per job minimum qualifications).

Responsibilities

Deliver software for semiconductor equipment components and support system integration and deployment.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain desktop applications using C++, C#, and WPF.
• Architect and implement multithreaded and concurrent software to maximize performance and responsiveness.
• Develop software that interfaces with hardware, instrumentation, motion control, and industrial automation systems.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to define requirements and architectures.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and reliability for mission-critical environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, hardware, and integration issues.
• Participate in code reviews and promote software development best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and test procedures.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and technology roadmaps.
• Support product deployments, system validation, and customer issue resolution as needed.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for successful performance in this role.

• 7–10 years professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ (modern C++ preferred).
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET development.
• Extensive experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and desktop application development.
• Demonstrated expertise in multithreaded programming, synchronization, and concurrent application design.
• Experience with asynchronous programming patterns and performance optimization.
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software architecture patterns.
• Experience using source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

• Experience in semiconductor equipment, inspection, metrology, lithography, or automation industries.
• Experience integrating software with cameras, sensors, motion control systems, or instrumentation.
• Familiarity with real-time data acquisition, high-performance computing, and large data sets.
• Knowledge of MVVM and design patterns for WPF applications.
• Experience with SQL databases, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to SEMI standards and semiconductor manufacturing workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (as stated in minimum qualifications).
