Role Summary

Join the Virtual Platforms team within the Multimarket Business Group to develop functional simulations and embedded software for System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms. The role focuses on building and validating functional models, improving test automation, and collaborating with engineers to debug and refine models and tests.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship intended for current graduate students (Master's level). Suitable for candidates with limited professional experience who are pursuing advanced study.

Responsibilities

Work with the engineering team to produce and validate SoC functional models and associated tests.

• Develop functional models that simulate SoC architectures.
• Write embedded software to test and validate models.
• Improve and maintain test automation and scripting infrastructure.
• Collaborate on debugging and refining models and test cases.
• Document work to support knowledge sharing and future development.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes for the role.

Must-have:

• Basic knowledge of C/C++ programming.
• Familiarity with embedded systems concepts and interest in firmware development.
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team.

Nice-to-have:

• Understanding of ARM architecture basics.
• Exposure to processor simulation tools (e.g., SystemC, Gem5, SIMICS, QEMU).
• Interest in compiler concepts or code translation.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting or automation.

Education Requirements

Candidate must be currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering at a Spanish university.
