Job Title

Software Engineer — Integrity 3D-IC Infrastructure

Role Summary

Develop digital central solutions for 3D-IC applications with emphasis on early-stage physical design flows (pre-place-and-route). Collaborate with customers and foundry partners to translate advanced-node requirements into software solutions and methodologies.

Work sits at the intersection of EDA, large-scale software infrastructure, and performance-optimized engineering workflows.

Experience Level

Mid-level; years of experience not specified.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on engineering and delivery of pre-place-and-route methodology and supporting software.

  • Design and implement early-stage physical design flows (pre-PnR).
  • Engage with customers to gather requirements and with foundry partners to align solutions to advanced nodes.
  • Implement software primarily in Java and scripting languages; maintain and extend legacy codebases.
  • Optimize software for performance, capacity, and usability for large-scale datasets.
  • Debug complex systems across UNIX/Linux environments; support cross-platform needs.
  • Work cross-functionally and present technical analyses and trade-offs to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to architecture for large-scale data and software infrastructure and system-level optimization flows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and abilities.

  • Proficient in Java (JDK 11 through JDK 25).
  • Experience with Tcl scripting and Linux shell scripting.
  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, computational geometry, parallel programming, compilers, or similar areas.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments; Windows familiarity is beneficial.
  • Ability to debug and extend large legacy codebases and assess technical trade-offs.
  • Good organization, analytical, presentation skills, and professional cross-team communication in English.
  • Self-driven learner and problem solver able to work without face-to-face supervision.

Nice-to-have:

  • C++ experience.
  • Experience with EDA/CAD tools, desktop applications handling large datasets, or early-stage physical design flows.
  • Experience in software performance optimization and capacity planning.
  • Exposure to forward-deployed AI in engineering workflows.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. No explicit minimum degree or "equivalent experience" language provided.
