Software Engineer II — Jasper R&D
Role Summary
Join the Jasper Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) team within System Verification to test and improve clock and reset domain crossing features of the Jasper formal verification tool. The role focuses on validating, troubleshooting, and deploying software enhancements and supporting key customers.
Position is based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and requires close collaboration with global R&D teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level — requires 3+ years of applicable experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include testing, analysis, and collaboration with R&D and customers:
- Design and execute tests to validate Jasper CDC features.
- Validate and deploy software enhancements for key customers.
- Analyze test results and collaborate with R&D to define fixes and improvements.
- Investigate, reproduce, and document software issues and test outcomes.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to internal teams and customers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and capabilities:
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Solid object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience in C++ development.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with version control systems.
- Scripting experience (Tcl or Python).
- Knowledge or experience with formal verification or simulation.
- Experience with EDA and VLSI design, including Verilog or VHDL.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree (BS or MS) in Engineering or Computer Science. The posting specifies 3+ years of applicable professional experience.
