Role Summary

Develop software for Cadence's Virtuoso Multi Technology product, focusing on cross-fabric implementation, stacking, and analysis as part of an engineering team working on heterogeneous integration flows. The role emphasizes building scalable, stable EDA tools and supporting internal and external customers.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 2+ years of relevant software development experience, preferably with EDA application delivery.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining production software; diagnosing and resolving issues; and ensuring solutions scale to larger designs.

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software modules and features.
• Improve software stability, observability, and debug capabilities.
• Scale solutions for runtime, memory usage, and multi-CPU execution.
• Work independently and efficiently, and collaborate across teams.
• Engage with customers as needed to understand requirements and provide solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behavioral capabilities.

• Proficient in C/C++ for complex software development.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting large codebases.
• Familiarity with scalability concerns (runtime, memory, parallelism).
• Good written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to work across functions and geographies.
• Familiarity with Qt, OpenGL, and EDA flows is a plus.
• Experience delivering EDA applications preferred.

Education Requirements

BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
