Software Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Hardware-Assisted Verification Division as a software engineer on the FPGA-based prototyping R&D team. You will design, develop, and debug software for the Veloce proFPGA prototyping platform and collaborate with hardware and software teams to deliver validated product functionality.

Experience Level

Mid-level; typically requires around 4+ years of relevant experience in C++ software development and FPGA/hardware verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include software development, component validation, and system integration under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Design, develop, modify, and implement software for internal and external products targeting the proFPGA platform.
  • Develop low-level validation code for components and ensure overall functional quality across required platforms and environments.
  • Integrate system components in close coordination with software and hardware teams.
  • Debug RTL designs and simulations and support static timing analysis as needed.
  • Work under supervision to meet delivery schedules and quality expectations.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 4+ years experience with C++, algorithms, and object-oriented software development.
  • Proficiency in HDL (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog) and strong RTL debugging skills.
  • Hands-on FPGA design experience and familiarity with FPGA tools such as Vivado or Quartus; experience with static timing analysis (STA).
  • Proficiency with Linux and scripting languages (TCL, Bash, Python).
  • Experience using version control systems (Git, Perforce, SVN).
  • Fluent in English.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
