Role Summary

Develop software and modeling solutions for AI-enabled camera silicon, focused on standards-based real-time hardware video codecs. Work across firmware, algorithm, and verification teams to improve video quality, reduce latency, and increase hardware efficiency.

Experience Level

Mid-level (1–5 years of relevant software or embedded systems development experience).

Responsibilities

Deliver software components, reference models, and tooling for real-time video codec solutions and support silicon integration and verification.

• Develop and optimize video codec algorithms for quality, low latency, and hardware efficiency.
• Implement and maintain reference codec models.
• Collaborate on silicon architecture modeling and hardware/software co-design.
• Develop silicon verification and diagnostic tools.
• Design and maintain real-time product firmware.
• Implement and tune software rate control algorithms.
• Integrate and validate codec solutions with cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience required for the role.

• Strong programming skills in C and C++ (must).
• Embedded software development experience (must).
• Familiarity with video compression standards such as H.264, H.265/HEVC, AV1, or similar (must).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills (must).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve design, coding, testing, debugging, or documentation (must).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams on integration and validation (must).

Nice-to-have: experience with silicon verification/diagnostic tools, hardware/software co-design, reference codec model development, and real-time firmware for video products.
