Role Summary

Join Qualcomm Interconnect Technology (QITC) in Guyancourt to develop CAD tools that configure interconnect hardware IP and generate integration collaterals (Verilog, SystemC, configs, verification environments) for SoC teams. The role sits between software and hardware engineering and supports SoC integration through tool development and automation.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The position is open to beginning and experienced engineers; no strict years-of-experience requirement is specified.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintaining software tools that assemble and configure hardware IP and produce integration artifacts.

  • Gather requirements and design new tool features (IP assembly/configuration, collateral generation, GUI enhancements).
  • Implement and maintain CAD tooling on Linux using Python and C++ (Qt for GUI where applicable).
  • Collaborate with hardware designers to export Verilog, SystemC models, pre-configured verification environments, and other integration artefacts.
  • Plan and participate in release cycles; ensure delivery quality and regression control.
  • Monitor code quality, maintain tests and regression status, and address reliability issues.

Requirements

Core technical skills and competencies expected for success in the role.

  • Must-have: Strong object-oriented programming skills and software design fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ and experience developing software tools on Linux.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and delivering production-quality releases.
  • Ability to work with hardware teams and understand SoC integration needs.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Qt (GUI), profiling and code optimization, prior development of software-intensive tools, and exposure to hardware descriptions or models (RTL/Verilog/VHDL/SystemC).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field is specified. Applications from candidates with equivalent practical experience will be considered.
