Role Summary

Join Advanced Packaging and Technology Manufacturing to design and deliver AI/ML-enabled software tools that accelerate engineering workflows for advanced packaging and silicon enablement. The role focuses on building scalable automation, integrating ML models, and partnering with engineering and research teams in a hybrid work model.

Experience Level

Entry-level / early career — minimum ~1 year of relevant experience (college grad).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing production-quality software and integrating AI/ML to improve engineering productivity.

• Design, implement, test, and deploy software tools and automation for engineering workflows.
• Apply AI/ML techniques to enable data-driven automation, predictive features, and workflow optimization.
• Integrate ML models and intelligent features into backend services and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering, research, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Evaluate and prototype new AI/ML technologies and frameworks; iterate on prototypes toward production.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and cross-functional problem solving.

Must-have:

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a US Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• At least 1 year experience designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable AI/ML production systems.
• Strong programming skills in one or more: C++ (preferred), Python, or C#; solid foundations in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Ability to produce reliable, maintainable production code and work in a fast-paced research environment.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with EDA tools and engineering workflows for semiconductor or packaging domains.
• Experience with generative AI / LLM solutions (prompt engineering, embeddings, vector DBs, semantic search, RAG).
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and ML lifecycle (training, evaluation, inference).
• Experience deploying services with Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms, REST/gRPC APIs, or serverless architectures.
• Experience with large-scale data pipelines, streaming technologies (Spark, Databricks, Kafka), and cloud-native development practices.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in those fields is preferred. The listing allows the minimum qualifications to be met through a combination of relevant job experience, internships, coursework, or research (equivalent practical experience accepted).
