Role Summary

Join Qualcomm Interconnect Technology (QITC) engineering in Guyancourt to develop CAD tools that configure and assemble interconnect IP for SoC integration. The team sits at the hardware/software boundary and delivers tooling to generate RTL, models, verification environments and integration collateral.

The role works closely with hardware designers to implement tool features, ensure delivery quality, and maintain code and regression health.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The team considers both early-career and experienced candidates; roles have varied prior experience levels. See Education Requirements for stated minimum experience combinations.

Responsibilities

Software engineering duties focused on tools that configure, analyze and export interconnect IP and integration artifacts.

  • Gather feedback and design new tool features; work with stakeholders to define requirements.
  • Plan and participate in regular releases; ensure delivery quality and regression stability.
  • Implement IP integration and configuration logic (e.g., cache-coherent networks).
  • Perform netlist analysis and transformations; implement graph and path-finding algorithms.
  • Generate data and streamline flows for physical design and SoC integration.
  • Develop and maintain GUIs for topology and floorplan editing.
  • Maintain code quality, testing and version control (regression monitoring).

Requirements

Key technical skills and behavioral expectations.

  • Must-have: Strong software engineering skills with object-oriented design; proficiency in Python (OOP) and C++.
  • Must-have: Experience with Linux and Git; familiarity with Qt for GUI work is expected.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality releases and maintain regression suites.
  • Must-have: Team player with good software design practices and communication with hardware teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of RTL/HDL (Verilog, VHDL), SystemC, or other hardware description experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with ASIC integration, netlist/graph algorithms, or physical-design toolflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Science, Engineering, or a related field are referenced. Minimum experience combinations stated in the source: Bachelor's +2 years ASIC-design/verification/integration experience, or Master's +1 year, or PhD (experience not required). Applications with equivalent practical experience will be considered.
