Role Summary

Member of a software team responsible for design, implementation, and unit testing of product software for the Direct Imaging (DI) / LIS product line. Works with technical leads and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, maintainable software aligned with product requirements and development processes.

Experience Level

Entry-level; typically requires about 1+ years of professional software development experience.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on understanding product requirements, implementing software features, and improving development practices.

• Analyze requirements and participate in requirements definition and review.
• Design, implement, and unit test software components.
• Modify and extend existing codebases while ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Provide technical input for project estimation and risk assessment.
• Follow established SDLC processes and contribute suggestions for process improvement.
• Work with technical leads to identify and mitigate technical risks.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional capabilities; preferred items are listed separately.

• Must-have: Strong programming fundamentals; experience with C#/.NET and C++.
• Must-have: Experience with .NET technologies and WPF for GUI development.
• Must-have: Practical knowledge of the software development lifecycle, design, implementation, and unit testing.
• Must-have: Effective verbal and written communication across technical and business stakeholders.
• Must-have: Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must-have: Willingness to travel on short assignments to customer sites (examples noted: Germany, USA).
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Windows internals.
• Nice-to-have: Domain knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing or KLA-specific products.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree (BE / BS / BTech) and approximately 1 or more years of software development experience.
