Software Embedded & BSP Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and maintain board support packages (BSPs), low-level device drivers and perform board bring-up for embedded products. Work within an embedded software team that collaborates closely with hardware and platform engineering to take new devices from schematic review through production.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically 3+ years of relevant experience in BSP, kernel-level development, and board bring-up.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include hardware bring-up, BSP and driver development, and hardware–software integration debugging.
- Develop and maintain BSPs and device drivers for NXP, STM32, and Qualcomm platforms.
- Perform board bring-up and validate new hardware platforms.
- Participate in hardware schematic reviews with the hardware team.
- Debug and resolve low-level driver, BSP, and hardware/software integration issues.
- Collaborate with hardware and platform engineers and use lab equipment for validation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 3+ years experience in BSP, kernel-level development, and board bring-up.
- Strong C programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux, an RTOS, or Zephyr.
- Direct experience working with hardware teams and using lab tools (logic analyzer, oscilloscope).
- Independent, adaptable team player with good communication skills.
- Nice-to-have: C++ experience.
Education Requirements
BSc in Computer Science.
