Software Development Intern
Role Summary
Work on the company's flagship products and development infrastructure: plan, implement, test, document, support and maintain software features and tooling.
This is an internship role focused on hands-on development, automation and tooling improvements within an engineering team.
Experience Level
Internship / Entry-level. No specific years of professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include development, testing, documentation and operational support of product and developer tooling.
- Plan and implement software features and improvements.
- Write and run tests; fix bugs and regressions.
- Document code, designs and user-facing changes.
- Maintain and support development infrastructure and tools.
- Collaborate with engineers across teams; participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to automation and CI/CD processes.
Requirements
Basic technical skills and core professional behaviors expected for the internship.
- Must-have: Experience with Java, Linux, Git, shell scripting, object-oriented programming, and familiarity with editors/IDEs such as VS Code or Eclipse.
- Soft skills: Well-organized, proactive, good written and verbal communication, willingness to learn new technologies, strong interest in automation.
- Nice-to-have: Experience or exposure to YouTrack, SonarQube, Eclipse plug-in development, JUnit/Ant/Maven, Spring Boot, VSCode Extension API, Node.js, front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, React, Angular), AWS, Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes.
