The Software Development Engineer will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and developing performance-focused software tools for Synopsys. Working within the Hardware Assisted Verification team, this role focuses on complex tool development and collaboration with R&D members and customers.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Supporting existing tool functionality while enhancing performance and quality.
- Applying knowledge of algorithms and data structures for developing efficient software.
- Collaborating with R&D team members and customers to meet product goals.
- Contributing to the development of complex software tools with tight deadlines.
- Using sound judgment in developing methods and evaluation criteria for project goals.
Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science Engineering.
- In-depth understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Extensive experience in C/C++ on UNIX/Linux platforms.
- Proficiency in analytical and debugging skills with a history of solving complex problems.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Python, TCL, and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of HDL languages like Verilog or System Verilog.
Education Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 6 years in a relevant field.
