Role Summary
Member of the Symphony mixed-signal simulation team in Noida within Siemens EDA's DevOps group. Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining build, CI/CD, release and development infrastructure to support global development, QA and IT teams.
Work emphasizes automation, reliability, scalability and timely delivery of customer releases.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 4β8 years of relevant experience in build, release and configuration management.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, implement and maintain automated build, regression, CI/CD and release pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
- Administer version control, branching and large-file support (Git, Git LFS) and machine/configuration management.
- Automate development and delivery processes using scripting and configuration tools on Linux.
- Collaborate with global Developers, QA and IT to deliver reliable, timely customer releases.
- Improve infrastructure architecture, performance, capacity and supportability; participate in technical roadmap decisions.
- Manage installation, upgrades and migrations for toolchains (GCC, Perl, Python, Boost, CMake).
Requirements
Must-have:
- 4β8 years experience in build, release and configuration management.
- Strong CI/CD automation experience and Jenkins administration.
- Expertise with Git, GitLab and Git LFS.
- Proficient scripting with Shell, Perl and Python on Linux.
- Experience with configuring, installing and migrating build tools (GCC, Perl, Python, Boost, CMake).
- Understanding of the DevOps role across the SDLC and a track record of accurate customer release delivery.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Docker, grid/module systems and C++.
