Software CAD Engineer, VLSI (RDSS Intern)
Role Summary
Internship role developing software and automation to support test and bring-up of NVIDIA silicon. The position focuses on enabling advanced testing workflows (ATPG, DFT) and improving software performance for production verification.
This role is part of the RDSS program based in Taiwan (Taipei / Hsinchu) and works closely with design, DFT, and test engineering teams.
Experience Level
Internship / Entry-level. Suitable for graduate students or early-career engineers participating in the 2027 RDSS program.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing software and automation to support silicon test and verification.
- Develop in-house software tools for automated testing on NVIDIA hardware.
- Create and maintain automation flows to support ATPG and DFT requirements.
- Profile and optimize software performance; improve code quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with Design, DFT, and Test Engineering teams to ensure test coverage and support silicon bring-up.
- Contribute to test methodology and verification process improvements.
Requirements
Required technical skills and professional attributes.
- Must-have: Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Must-have: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Must-have: Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience with TCL, Perl, Java, or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of Design for Testability (DFT) concepts such as Scan, ATPG, and JTAG.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
