Role Summary
Engineer on the Front-End CAD team within the Global SoC organization, developing software tools and flows that enable RTL-to-GDSII implementation for advanced low-power and high-performance SoCs. The role focuses on building and supporting design automation and reference flows used by internal design teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level β approximately 1+ years of professional experience; candidates with equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain software for design automation and RTL-to-GDSII reference flows.
- Execute and deliver project milestones on schedule and resolve issues throughout development.
- Provide tool support and debugging assistance to design teams.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure code quality, proper version control, and documentation.
- Identify and propose improvements to QA processes, build/compilation environments, and workflows.
Requirements
Must-have and nice-to-have skills:
- Must-have: 1+ years of Python development experience.
- Must-have: Strong Linux skills and experience with Git or similar SCM.
- Must-have: Strong problem solving and debugging skills; effective communication in a distributed team.
- Nice-to-have: C++ programming experience.
- Nice-to-have: Background in EDA tools, RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog), or design verification.
- Nice-to-have: Experience working in geographically distributed development environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field is specified; candidates with equivalent practical experience will be considered.
