Role Summary

Architect and lead development of a platform that integrates 3D data, simulation environments, and AI‑driven workflows. Provide technical leadership across product, research, and engineering teams to design scalable, maintainable systems for on‑premise and cloud deployments.

Translate cross‑functional requirements into robust architectures, implementation roadmaps, and reusable components that enable production‑grade simulation, digital twins, and AI workflows.

Experience Level

Senior — target candidate has 12+ years of software development and system architecture experience.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

• Define and drive overall software architecture for a next‑generation Physical AI and simulation platform.
• Design scalable, modular systems for both on‑premise and cloud deployments, balancing performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Evaluate and integrate external technologies (OpenUSD, NVIDIA Omniverse libraries, Modulus, PhysicsNeMo, NIMs) into a cohesive platform architecture.
• Translate product and research requirements into concrete technical designs and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead architecture reviews, set coding standards, and establish patterns that ensure high code quality and scalability across teams.
• Architect deployment strategies on AWS, Azure, or GCP using containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and strategic guidance on complex problems.

Requirements

Essential and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: Proven experience designing and shipping production distributed, scalable systems and strong software engineering judgment.
• Must-have: Proficiency in C++ and Python; ability to author and review performance‑critical code.
• Must-have: Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
• Must-have: Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Must-have: Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear, pragmatic design documents and lead cross‑functional discussions.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with OpenUSD or NVIDIA Omniverse, 3D data processing, digital twin technologies, or AI/ML pipelines.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
