Develop, integrate, and validate embedded software for Battery Management Solutions (BMS) with a focus on Complex Device Drivers (CDDs) and AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) integration.
Work with customers and cross-functional teams to define requirements, debug issues, ensure functional-safety compliance, and deliver production-ready software and documentation.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically requires 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience in embedded systems and automotive software.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Lead design, integration, and validation of Complex Device Drivers (CDDs) into customer AUTOSAR BSW environments.
- Collaborate directly with customers to capture and manage software requirements for vehicle-level BMS features.
- Perform technical issue analysis, root-cause debugging, and performance optimization of embedded software.
- Verify CDDs and system-level behavior to support scalable architectures and customer use cases.
- Ensure compliance with automotive process and safety standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262) to meet customer ASIL objectives.
- Produce and maintain software collateral: requirements, design specifications, test plans/reports, and integration guides.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills and experience.
-
Must-have: Minimum ~5 years experience in embedded software development, including work with MCUs/MPUs (ARM), computer architecture concepts (cache, DMA, interconnect), operating systems, and common peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
-
Must-have: Practical experience with automotive software stacks, including AUTOSAR BSW, MCALs, RTE and integrating device drivers into customer systems.
-
Must-have: Proven ability to debug complex embedded systems and lead technical issue resolution.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with Linux, FreeRTOS, Code Composer Studio (CCS), and programming in C, C++ and Python.
-
