Job Title

SoC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work as part of a verification team responsible for validating system-on-chip (SoC) components and interfaces. The role focuses on simulation, model checking, and hardware prototyping workflows to ensure functional correctness and quality across design stages.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 3–7 years of relevant SoC or digital verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities and collaborating with design and architecture teams.

  • Develop and execute verification plans for SoC blocks and integrations.
  • Build and maintain simulation environments and testbenches (e.g., SystemVerilog/UVM).
  • Perform directed, constrained-random, and regression testing; analyze coverage and results.
  • Apply formal methods and model checking where applicable to verify correctness properties.
  • Support hardware prototyping and bring-up activities to reproduce and debug issues on silicon or FPGA platforms.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and software teams to debug and close verification gaps.

Requirements

Core technical skills and experience required or strongly expected.

  • Must-have: Practical experience in SoC or digital verification, including writing and running tests and interpreting coverage metrics.
  • Must-have: Experience with verification languages and environments such as SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with simulators, debug tools, and verification workflows; scripting skills (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl) for automation.
  • Must-have: Experience debugging RTL and interacting with hardware bring-up/prototyping platforms.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with formal verification, model checking, or ML-driven verification methods.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior experience targeting Arm architecture or working in multi-site verification teams.
