Role Summary

Senior SoC Top Design and Integration Engineer on the SoC Top Team responsible for top-level SoC architecture, integration of IP, and ensuring correct clock/reset/power distribution and timing across the chip. Work closely with digital design, verification, and validation teams to deliver production-quality SoC top implementations.

Position is based in Barcelona; the employer indicates visa sponsorship is available if required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and implement SoC top-level RTL and integration of IP blocks.
• Define and implement clocking strategy and clock distribution network.
• Define and implement reset strategy and reset distribution.
• Define power domains and power-envelope strategy; integrate power management into top-level design.
• Create and maintain timing constraints; work with STA teams to meet timing goals.
• Support block-level testing, silicon bring-up, and system validation activities.
• Develop scripts and automation to support integration, validation, and flows (Python/Perl/Bash/TCL).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers as needed.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience (concise):

• English language proficiency at C1 level.
• Industrial experience of 8+ years in SoC or related semiconductor design roles.
• Experience with clock strategy and distribution.
• Experience with reset strategy and distribution.
• Experience defining power envelope and domain partitioning.
• Proficiency in SoC design, verification and validation tools and methodologies.
• RTL design experience using Verilog or VHDL.
• Experience with scripting for automation (Python, Perl, Bash, TCL).
• Experience with timing analysis and constraints.
• Experience with basic block-level testing and debugging.
• Strong problem-solving ability and effective communication/teamwork skills.
