SOC Thermal Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate cooling solutions for high-performance mobile SoCs and semiconductor packages. Work with cross-functional hardware, package, and validation teams to model, simulate, test, and integrate thermal management solutions that meet performance and reliability targets.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design thermal solutions and cooling strategies for SoCs, packages, and mobile devices.
- Develop and validate thermal models at the silicon die and semiconductor package levels.
- Perform thermal simulation and analyze measurement data to drive design decisions.
- Integrate cooling solutions into SoC and package architectures to meet performance targets.
- Design and execute experimental test setups for thermal characterization and validation.
- Collaborate with IC physical design, packaging, and product teams to ensure thermal reliability across product lines.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- Proven experience in thermal analysis and design for silicon devices and semiconductor packages.
- Experience creating thermal models and running simulations at die and package levels.
- Hands-on experience with thermal testing, measurement, and validation of devices, packages, or assemblies.
- Ability to design experimental test setups and analyze thermal data to inform product changes.
- Strong collaboration skills with hardware, package, and validation teams.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership at the senior engineer level.
- Deep expertise in thermal design for high-power SoCs and advanced packaging technologies.
- Familiarity with IC physical design parameters and their impact on electrical and thermal performance.
- Knowledge of SoC design methodologies and low-power design techniques.
- Proficiency with industry tools such as Ansys IcePak, Sentinel-TI, Fluent, Cadence Allegro, and RedHawk.
