Job Title

SoC Systems & Infrastructure Engineer

Role Summary

Work on SoC design, validation, debug, FPGA prototyping, emulation, and supporting software/infrastructure for advanced silicon development platforms. The role partners with architects, RTL designers, verification, firmware, and validation teams to accelerate bring-up and improve product quality.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Years of experience guidance not specified in the posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities span hardware, firmware, and software domains for pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.

  • Develop and enhance solutions for SoC design, validation, debug, FPGA prototyping, and emulation environments.
  • Design, implement, validate, and debug hardware and software components for development platforms.
  • Perform pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up, failure analysis, root-cause investigation, and performance characterization.
  • Create automation, infrastructure, and tooling using modern programming languages and scripting.
  • Support low-level hardware and software debugging across complex SoC platforms.
  • Analyze system performance, power, reliability, and timing across subsystems.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, technology partners, and tool vendors to improve workflows and product quality.
  • Apply automation and AI technologies to improve engineering productivity and debug efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experiences; preferred items are listed separately.

  • Experience in one or more areas: ASIC/SoC design, hardware or system debug, validation engineering, FPGA development, emulation platforms, or CAD/EDA/software development.
  • Proficiency with programming and scripting: C/C++, Python, Tcl, Perl, and Linux/embedded environments.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; experience with low-level HW/SW co-debug.
  • Familiarity with RTL design and verification flows, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and FPGA design methodologies.
  • Experience using debug and lab tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes) and CI/CD automation flows, version control (Git), and issue tracking (JIRA).
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team across time zones.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. (The posting does not specify explicit language about equivalent practical experience.)
