Job Title
SoC RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the hardware design team to develop RTL for SoC and FPGA IP blocks and support full-chip integration and verification. The role focuses on RTL coding, SoC integration checks, and collaborating with architects and cross-site teams.
This is a technical individual-contributor position based in Pune, India, working on FPGA-related SoC projects.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires around 6+ years of relevant RTL/SoC design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include delivering RTL design and ensuring integration quality.
- Design and implement RTL for key FPGA/SoC blocks using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Define micro-architecture in collaboration with architects and micro-architect teams.
- Lead SoC integration tasks and perform integration quality checks (lint, CDC, RDC, SDC).
- Develop assertions, checkers, and scripts to improve design quality and reduce debug time.
- Evaluate and select third-party IP and drive integration of processor and bus interfaces.
- Collaborate with global teams across sites and time zones; occasional travel as required.
- Mentor and train team members on best-known-methods and learn FPGA-specific implementation details.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 6+ years of experience in RTL and logic design across silicon projects.
- Strong RTL coding skills in Verilog and SystemVerilog and proven design methodology.
- Experience with SoC integration, micro-architecture definition, and selecting third-party IP.
- Familiarity with integration and quality flows: lint, CDC, RDC, SDC, and related verification checks.
- Experience with processor and bus interfaces (ARM, AXI/AMBA) and common interfaces (ENET, PCIe) is desirable.
- Familiarity with FPGA architectures and use-cases is a plus.
- Independent problem-solver with strong cross-team communication skills.
Education Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
