Mid-level. The posting indicates minimum experience ranges from 1β2+ years depending on degree, with preferred candidates having ~3+ years of ASIC-related experience.
Responsibilities
Accountabilities include block- and SoC-level power design, verification and handoff.
- Define, model and design digital and/or analog power IP and SoC blocks to meet system requirements.
- Create architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs and system simulations.
- Evaluate flow from high-level design through synthesis, place & route, timing and power analysis.
- Execute verification and validation activities for power-related blocks and subsystems.
- Use EDA/implementation tools (e.g., RTL-to-GDS flows, Virtuoso) to implement and verify designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define implementation strategies and trade-offs.
- Produce clear technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience expected (degrees summarized separately under Education Requirements).
- ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration experience (posting indicates 1β3+ years depending on degree).
- Experience with architecture and design tool flows for implementation and verification.
- Familiarity with RTL-to-GDS implementation flows, custom layout tools such as Virtuoso, and general EDA toolchains.
- Experience with scripting and programming for automation and analysis.
- Knowledge of design verification methods and methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and influence cross-team decisions.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field (with ~2+ years ASIC experience) OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field (with ~1+ year ASIC experience) OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field. Preferred: Master's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Fields cited include electrical/electronic engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related technical disciplines.
