SOC Power Architecture Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate power-optimized system and hardware architectures for Qualcomm SoCs, with emphasis on multimedia and camera subsystems. Work within the chipset power team to set targets, prototype power features, and guide implementations from concept through production.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining power targets, modeling and validating power behavior, and collaborating with hardware and software teams to implement power features.
- Prototype on-target power-optimization features and perform waveform analysis.
- Develop power-optimized multimedia hardware and system architectures for next-generation SoCs.
- Create and maintain models for power projections, validation, and architectural trade-off analysis.
- Establish use-case and hardware core power targets.
- Collaborate with HW and SW design teams to implement and validate power features across design stages from concept to production.
- Perform competitive analysis; machine-learning workload power analysis is a plus.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience relevant to SOC power architecture and system-level power analysis.
- Solid foundation in electrical systems engineering and digital logic design.
- Strong understanding of hardware micro-architecture and ASIC implementation flow from concept to production.
- Ability to model and analyze system- and core-level power; experience with power modeling, verification, and simulation tools.
- Experience with video encoder/decoder systems or camera systems and their architectures (one or more preferred).
- Familiarity with high-level synthesis tools and flows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
