Lead and manage the physical design flow for high-speed SoC products within Qualcomm's physical design team. Focus areas include floorplanning, timing analysis, verification checks, and achieving timing closure with attention to power and timing trade-offs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Define and execute floorplanning and full-chip integration for high-speed SoC designs.
• Perform static timing analysis and drive timing closure, focusing on power/timing optimization.
• Execute verification checks and support ECOs to prepare designs for tapeout.
• Collaborate with RTL, timing, power, and verification teams to resolve cross-domain issues.
• Document design decisions and provide technical guidance within the physical design team.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Proven experience in SoC physical design flow, including floorplanning and timing analysis.
• Experience performing verification checks and supporting ECO and tapeout activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally with RTL, power, and verification engineers.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have: experience with power optimization techniques and familiarity with industry EDA flows/tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).

Compensation

Salary range provided in the posting: $154,742 - $210,000 per year.
