SoC Integration and Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join an ASIC product team responsible for SoC and embedded IP development for AI and storage products. The role focuses on SoC architecture, IP integration, and driving design quality through analysis, verification, and cross-functional coordination.
Experience Level
Senior. Typical experience: Masters in Engineering with 6+ years or Bachelors in Engineering with 8+ years (see Education Requirements for details).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining SoC architecture, integrating IP, and leading verification and implementation activities.
- Define overall SoC architecture and integrate IP blocks.
- Perform detailed design analysis to ensure quality using industry tools.
- Lead cross-functional teams supporting simulation, synthesis, formal verification, constraints, and design validation.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet customer requirements.
- Consult with layout and DFT engineers to optimize area, performance, and yield.
- Produce design collateral and specifications to support SoC releases.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, collaboration expectations, and work-authorization requirements.
- Proven expertise in HDLs: Verilog, VHDL, and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with SoC architectures using AMBA interconnect, multiple processors, and a range of I/O from UART to high-speed DRAM and multi-lane SERDES.
- Strong understanding of physical implementation and timing closure under process variation.
- Ability to analyze complex trade-offs and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; familiar with cloud-based documentation workflows.
- Familiarity with simulation, synthesis, formal verification, and constraint definition for SoC flows.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States; no company-sponsored immigration support is available for this position.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Computer Science preferred) with 8+ years of related experience, or Master's degree in Engineering with 6+ years of related experience.
