Job Title

SoC Functional Validation Intern

Role Summary

Support SoC functional validation on hardware and software across the product development lifecycle. Work with experienced validation engineers to develop and run tests, analyze results, and help maintain validation infrastructure for Intel SoC products.

This is a hands-on engineering internship with exposure to real silicon, validation tools, and embedded software in a collaborative team environment.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Candidates should have some programming experience (minimum: ~3 months) and be prepared to learn validation tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to functional validation of SoC hardware designs and systems.
  • Support hardware and software debugging and help create validation test plans.
  • Assist in test content development and execution for Pre-Si and Post-Si validation.
  • Perform data analysis for validation metrics and reporting.
  • Help develop and maintain validation infrastructure and test environments.
  • Learn and apply Intel SoC architecture and validation tools under engineer mentorship.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet readiness and quality goals.
  • Regular onsite presence is required to fulfill essential job responsibilities.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

  • Must-have: Minimum ~3 months experience programming in Python, C, or C++.
  • Must-have: Advanced English communication skills; resume must be uploaded in English.
  • Must-have: Unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Must-have: Eligible for student/intern employment status (this is a student/intern role).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • Preferred: Experience developing code for embedded systems.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SoC, microprocessor, or computer architecture.
  • If accepting an offer in Mexico, candidate must provide Mexican Security Number (NSS), Tax Identification Number (RFC) and CURP.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field. Equivalent experience via relevant internships, industry work, or coursework is acceptable.
