SoC Firmware-Hardware Validation Engineer

Role Summary

The SoC Firmware-Hardware Validation Engineer will conduct comprehensive testing and validation of silicon implementations for high-speed analog integrated circuits. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance of silicon products in a cutting-edge R&D lab environment.

Mid-level, requiring at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include:

• Conducting comprehensive testing on silicon implementations.
• Reviewing and debugging silicon under test, supporting associated hardware systems.
• Supporting customer silicon bringup.
• Executing detailed characterization tests and preparing actionable test reports.
• Designing and developing test boards and hardware solutions.
• Applying theoretical circuit knowledge for circuit validation.
• Collaborating with analog designers and hardware engineers.
• Automating test procedures using Python and FPGA programming.

Requirements

Key requirements for this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience in silicon validation.
• Strong analog IC circuit knowledge and experience with debugging hardware systems.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation.
• Knowledge of FPGA programming (Verilog) and hardware development.
• Understanding of protocols such as PCI Express and Ethernet.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required.
