SOC Engineering Sr. Staff Engineer
Role Summary
The SOC Engineering Sr. Staff Engineer role at Synopsys involves leading SOC development projects through all stages of design, including architecture, RTL development, and post-silicon validation. Mid-level, with at least 8 years of experience in SOC-level architecture and RTL development.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Lead SOC development projects from architectural definition through post-silicon validation and customer delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Collaborate directly with customers to address specific requirements.
- Manage key stages of SOC development: design verification, DFT, physical design, and tapeout management.
- Work closely with partners on software, firmware, and packaging integration.
- Participate in customer engagements and support project execution.
Requirements
Must-have skills and qualifications include:
- BSEE, MSEE, or Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience in SOC-level architecture and RTL development.
- Strong proficiency in SOC architecture, micro-architecture, RTL development, design verification, DFT, and tapeout management.
- Experience with interconnect options and SOC standard interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with workflow tools such as git.
Nice-to-have qualifications include: experience with CPU architectures and eligibility for government security clearances.
Education Requirements
BSEE, MSEE, or Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering is required.
