SOC Design Verification Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Staff-level verification engineer responsible for SoC and IP verification within the ASIC engineering organization. Work includes defining verification scope, building test infrastructure, developing tests and assertions, and validating correctness at IP and system level.
Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre-/post-silicon teams to close verification gaps and ensure delivery of robust silicon.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities for IP and SoC blocks.
- Define verification scope and develop verification plans and test strategies.
- Implement and analyze SystemVerilog assertions and functional/coverage metrics (code, toggle, functional).
- Develop, run, and debug verification testbenches and test cases (UVM/SystemVerilog).
- Integrate and validate third-party VIPs and simulation tools in the verification environment.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Adhere to verification quality standards and maintain verification infrastructure and scripts.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience.
- Multi-year experience in ASIC/SoC verification or related roles at IP or SoC level.
- Strong SystemVerilog and UVM experience; familiarity with C/C++ in verification contexts.
- Hands-on use of simulators and verification tools (examples: Synopsys VCS) and waveform analysis tools.
- Experience integrating third-party VIPs (e.g., Synopsys VIP) into verification environments.
- Good understanding of processor-based SoC verification and mixed environments.
- Knowledge of on-chip protocols: AXI/AMBA variants; UFS, Ethernet, and PCIe experience is desirable.
- Scripting experience (shell, Makefile, Perl) for automation and infrastructure tasks.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Education Requirements
