Job Title

SOC Design Verification Lead

Role Summary

Lead SoC design verification architecture and DV infrastructure for AMD SoCs. Own testbench architecture, verification methodology, and provide technical direction to execution teams across IP, silicon, firmware, post‑silicon and DFT teams.

This senior engineering role combines hands‑on architecture work with program leadership, including schedule and cost accountability.

Experience Level

Senior level. Multiple years of project execution and design verification strategy experience expected.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical verification architecture, drive DV strategy, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to meet product requirements.

  • Define and architect SoC testbenches and verification infrastructure to meet micro‑architecture requirements.
  • Develop technical verification specifications for SoC and IP blocks and guide execution teams.
  • Align hardware, firmware, and modelling efforts to verify the complete system.
  • Work with IP/domain architects to identify risks and propose architectural solutions.
  • Lead architecture analysis, handle feature change requests, and provide risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support post‑silicon validation, DFT teams, and performance verification activities.
  • Contribute to design automation and knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

Candidates should meet the technical and program leadership expectations below.

Must-have

  • Proven leadership experience in SoC design verification and DV infrastructure architecture.
  • Expertise in verification methodology and testbench architecture (UVM, SystemVerilog).
  • Programming experience in C++ and verification languages.
  • Deep understanding of SoC and systems architecture (CPU/GPU, memory subsystems, fabrics, coherency, I/O, clocks/resets, virtualization, or security).
  • Experience debugging DV infrastructure and working with vendor tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, mentorship, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to manage schedule and cost for DV projects.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with performance teams, post‑silicon bring‑up, and close DFT collaboration.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred. The posting does not mandate a specific degree; equivalent practical experience is commonly considered.
