SoC Design Verification Engineer
Intel CorporationJob Title
SoC Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Contract role on an SoC verification team responsible for pre-silicon verification, emulation content execution, and validating SoC functionality across power, security and interface subsystems.
The engineer will work with design and validation teams to develop and run verification plans, debug failures in emulation and simulation environments, and improve verification quality and coverage.
Experience Level
Mid-level β expects candidates with at least 2 years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute pre-silicon verification and emulation test content; run and debug emulation regressions.
- Develop and execute verification plans for SoC blocks and full-chip scenarios.
- Write and maintain testbenches and verification infrastructure using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Validate power-management flows (low-power, UPF) and verify reset/clock/fuse flows.
- Perform coverage-driven verification and regression management.
- Debug functional and integration issues across cores, interconnects, and peripherals (e.g., DDR, PCIe/CXL where applicable).
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and firmware teams to resolve issues and improve verification effectiveness.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Strong hands-on experience with pre-silicon verification and emulation execution.
- Proficient in SystemVerilog and UVM for testbench and verification development.
- Experience with low-power verification techniques, regression frameworks, and coverage-driven verification.
- Familiarity with reset, clock and fuse flows and debugging related issues.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; self-motivated.
- Preferred: experience with SoC-level verification, DDR verification, and PCIe/CXL verification.
Education Requirements
B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Communication Engineering (or closely related technical field). Minimum of 2+ years of relevant verification experience.
