Role Summary

We are looking for an SoC Design Engineer to join our engineering team, focusing on the design and verification of advanced SoC products. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams in Sheffield and Manchester, working on cutting-edge technologies across various application segments.

Experience Level

This position is suitable for candidates with hands-on experience in RTL design and a solid understanding of SoC architecture, particularly for complex systems involving Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review SoC architecture specifications and micro-architecture.
  • Implement RTL designs, perform design checks, and ensure compliance with power and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with verification teams to troubleshoot design issues and validate test plans.
  • Work with performance analysis teams to assess and optimize system efficiency.
  • Contribute to project management tasks related to planning and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with RTL design using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
  • In-depth knowledge of design lifecycle processes from concept through support.
  • Ability to create detailed documentation and specifications for complex designs.
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.

Education Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is typically required, along with relevant practical experience in SoC design.
