SoC Design and Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Design and integrate ASIC/SoC components for high-performance compute and AI products. Join an SoC team responsible for RTL design, flows, and methodology targeting advanced process nodes for server and data center applications.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical minimum experience is 2+ years in ASIC design/verification/integration; senior-level candidates with 5+ years are preferred.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include hands-on design, verification, and integration work across SoC and IP blocks, plus process and flow improvements.
- Execute architecture and RTL design tasks using standard tools and methodologies.
- Define, design, verify, and document ASIC development for SoC/IP projects.
- Resolve architecture, design, and verification issues with minimal supervision.
- Participate in design and architecture reviews; provide analytical input and silicon feedback.
- Identify and implement flow and automation improvements for design and verification processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional peers; present technical results.
- Collaborate with teammates and step up during critical project phases.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- 2+ years of practical ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration experience (see Education Requirements for degree alternatives).
- Experience with Server/Data Center IPs, protocols, and interfaces.
- Experience designing arithmetic, computational, or machine-learning IPs.
- Strong understanding of design techniques for performance and power efficiency.
- Ability to determine architecture, logic design, large-scale integration, and perform system-level simulation.
- Experience developing tools or scripting for process automation is an advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills; ability to work in a team and share knowledge.
Education Requirements
Acceptable: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field plus ~2+ years relevant experience; OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field plus ~1+ year; OR PhD in a Science or Engineering field. Preferred fields include Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. The posting presents degree-plus-experience alternatives rather than a single fixed degree requirement.
