Role Summary
The SoC Characterization Product Engineer will work within the Silicon Technologies group to design and manufacture high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) technologies. The role involves thorough product characterization and studying the impact of hardware on SOC performance.
Experience Level
Mid-level, requiring a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
- Perform data analysis, characterization, and fault isolation to resolve issues.
- Conduct correlation between ATE and various hardware setups.
- Collaborate with design, process, and test engineers for corrective actions on products and technologies.
- Define production screening specifications based on characterization results.
- Conduct statistical data analysis for test limits configuration.
- Complete yield analyses and correlation analysis for testing.
- Support test time reduction efforts related to characterization.
- Coordinate testing activities and reviews with internal and external groups.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3 years of experience in semiconductor characterization.
- Strong knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing Process and Electronic Engineering fundamentals.
- Experience in system-level/motherboard characterization and data collection.
- Knowledge of programming with scripting languages (PERL, Python).
- Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with board bring-up, hardware design, and PDN noise analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
