SOC Architect - Chiplet
TenstorrentJob Title
SOC Architect - Chiplet
Role Summary
Design the central compute chiplet for a next-generation automotive SoC, translating automotive and safety requirements into architecture that meets performance, power, and reliability targets. The role sits on the Architecture team and works cross-functionally with design, verification, software, and systems engineering.
This is a remote role based in Munich, Germany.
Experience Level
Senior level; candidates should have at least 5+ years of experience translating high-level requirements into detailed SoC or chiplet architecture. The company may consider a range of seniorities during interview, with offers aligned to assessed level.
Responsibilities
Drive architecture and specification for one or more chiplets in the robotics and automotive product family.
- Define chiplet architecture for CPUs, interconnect, memory, I/O, and subsystem integration.
- Translate automotive and functional-safety requirements into implementable architecture and design constraints.
- Optimize trade-offs among performance, power, area (PPA), safety, and reliability.
- Identify high-impact features that improve PPA and reliability without unnecessary complexity.
- Collaborate across design, verification, software, and systems teams to ensure timely and reliable execution.
- Integrate complex IP blocks and CPU subsystems into a coherent, shippable product architecture.
Requirements
Must-have experience and skills.
- 5+ years of experience converting high-level requirements into detailed architectural direction for SoC or chiplet designs.
- Deep knowledge of SoC architecture, including interconnects, I/O, memory subsystems, and CPU subsystems.
- Proven ability to design within performance, power, and reliability constraints and make informed trade-offs.
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, verification, software, and systems teams.
- Familiarity with or willingness to work on functional safety and automotive-grade design; knowledge of ISO 26262 is a strong asset.
- Ability to prioritize features that improve PPA, safety, and reliability while minimizing complexity.
- Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology; employment may be contingent on citizenship/permanent residency status or prior license approval under U.S. export laws.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience with automotive SoC or chiplet architectures.
- Hands-on experience integrating complex third-party IP and CPU subsystems.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
