Job Title

SoC Analog Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement analog subsystems for next-generation secure SoCs, working across architecture, IP integration, physical design and post-silicon validation. You will join the Hardware Engineering team and contribute to technical decisions, roadmap planning, and silicon bring-up in a fast-growing, security-focused company.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 5+ years of relevant analog design and implementation experience in advanced technology nodes.

Responsibilities

Deliver analog design work from requirements through to taped-out silicon and validation; collaborate across disciplines and with third-party IP providers.

  • Define SoC analog architecture requirements from system assumptions and stakeholder needs.
  • Perform research and trade-off analysis for cost, performance, power and software usability impacts.
  • Integrate and validate third-party IP and support custom silicon development from micro-architecture to design qualification.
  • Progress circuit designs and design flows to GDS; work closely with physical design, DFT and verification teams.
  • Participate in post-silicon validation, silicon bring-up and design reviews.
  • Collaborate with software, CPU, verification, R&D and security teams to optimize designs.
  • Produce and review detailed technical documentation.
  • Work in a hybrid model based in London or Bristol; occasional travel to customers and partners may be required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and high professional integrity.

Requirements

Key technical skills and experience required and desirable.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of hands-on analog design and implementation in advanced process nodes.
  • Proven experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g. Cadence or Synopsys) across the full analog design flow.
  • Experience moving designs through to GDS and supporting post-silicon validation.
  • Practical experience integrating third-party IP and supporting custom silicon projects.
  • Strong collaboration, communication skills and the ability to drive technical work independently.
  • Self-starter attitude, problem-solving focus, and attention to engineering quality and documentation.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with RISC-V and CHERI ISAs, integrated photonics collaboration, full tape-out cycle experience, and familiarity with security standards for hardware platforms.

Education Requirements

B.Eng./B.Sc., M.Eng./M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field β€” or equivalent industry experience.
