Job Title

Senior SLT Engineer

Role Summary

Senior engineer on the Automotive Module System Level Test (SLT) team responsible for developing end-to-end test solutions for automotive modules from NPI through high-volume manufacturing.

Lead test development, debug, production-readiness activities, and collaborate with global manufacturing and cross-functional teams to enable test platforms and improve product quality.

Experience Level

Senior. Preferred 5+ years in system-level or product test; minimum experience requirements vary by degree (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Key technical and cross-functional responsibilities:

  • Define and implement end-to-end SLT test plans; bring up systems and develop test programs for NPI and HVM.
  • Act as technical point of contact for module projects: drive test coverage, program releases, yield improvement, and test-time optimization.
  • Debug module-level hardware and software issues across interfaces such as DDR, UFS, PCIe, USB, and power management using JTAG and related tools.
  • Collaborate with hardware design, software, system validation, and customer engineering across globally distributed sites.
  • Support new manufacturing site enablement and lead product quality initiatives (RMA/DPPM reduction, production testing processes).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

Must-have:

  • Experience in module / SiP / board product testing at NPI or HVM stages.
  • Hands-on debug experience with module-level hardware and software across DDR, UFS, PCIe, USB, and power-management domains using JTAG or equivalent tools.
  • Test program development and system bring-up experience.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with design, validation, and manufacturing partners.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in automotive or mobile SoC industries and production testing practices (Gauge R&R, OSAT management).
  • Hands-on experience with Android or QNX, scripting in Python or C/C++, and use of source-control systems.
  • Ability to read schematics/layouts and familiarity with system-level benchmarks.
  • Strong English communication skills for working with global teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field with typically 2+ years of hardware engineering experience (posting variants list 2–3+ years); OR Master's degree in the above fields with 1+ years of related experience; OR PhD in the above fields.
